My philosophy…
I believe every individual possesses the innate strength and resilience to navigate life’s challenges.
I view therapy as a collaborative journey where I serve as a guide, offering support, insight, and tools to help you tap into your inner resources and unlock your full potential.
Grounded in empathy and authenticity, my approach emphasizes the importance of building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment.
My style…
It’s integrative and eclectic, drawing from various evidence-based modalities tailored to your unique needs and preferences.
While incorporating elements of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I also prioritize flexibility and creativity in adapting techniques to suit your goals and circumstances.
I aim to help you foster insight, self-awareness, and resilience for growth and long-term well-being through structured interventions and open-ended exploration.
My most important credentials and successes…
I’m well-equipped to treat an array of conditions and concerns that bring people to therapy. I’ve received extensive training in many modalities, including CBT, CBT-E, CBT-AR, DBT, DBT-PE, FBT, SSCM, ACT, MI, ExPR, and others. Yes, it’s a dizzying list of acronyms!
Even before becoming a licensed therapist, I worked with survivors of trauma in many different contexts, including holocaust survivors, those who experienced violent crimes, and survivors of domestic violence.
I have extensive experience treating eating disorders and body-image concerns; I spent four years as a senior therapist at an outpatient eating disorder center.
My top three qualities…
(1) Empathy
(2) Authenticity
(3) Flexibility
Fun facts about me…
I moved away from Manhattan because I love being in nature, surrounded by trees and beautiful scenery. I like to be outside as much as possible, so I enjoy hiking and kayaking to relax.
I’m a passionate foodie and enjoy experimenting with new recipes and cuisines. I also love hosting dinner parties with my friends and family (I’ve been known to curate a mean cheese board).
My latest obsession is mastering the art of growing orchids. So far, most have survived under my care. (I take this as a sign I should keep going!)
